The Executive Board manages the strategic and operational business of Mitteldeutsche Flughafen AG.

Götz Ahmelmann is Chairman of the Management Board (CEO) and is responsible for the operational business and the strategic development of the Group for both sites as well as the Real Estate, Cargo, Legal and Communications & Political Relations departments. He is also Chairman of the Management Board of Flughafen Dresden GmbH, Flughafen Leipzig/Halle GmbH, Portground GmbH and FSG Flughafenservice Gesellschaft mbH. Götz Ahmelmann has led the group of companies since October 2018, having previously worked in the aviation industry for over 20 years.

Anke Förster has been Chief Financial Officer (CFO) since January 2025 and is responsible for Human Resources, Finance, Controlling, IT and Purchasing. Anke Förster has held management positions in the aviation and logistics sector for more than 20 years, most recently as CFO at DPD Germany.

PortGround GmbH provides ground, cargo and passenger handling services for both airports. PortGround is supported in passenger handling at both locations by FSG Flughafenservice Gesellschaft mbH.

The Free State of Saxony, the State of Saxony-Anhalt and the cities of Leipzig, Dresden and Halle (Saale) are all shareholders of Mitteldeutsche Flughafen AG. Dr. Karsten Mühlenfeld is Chairman of the Supervisory Board.
